Dwarson is a small village in Uttarakhand, with a population of 220 residents, according to the last census. The closest town is Ranikhet, but even that is some distance away. I have been coming here for many years to meditate. More recently, I have come here to spend the winter in a home with views of the Himalayas — reading, creating, going on long walks, and living slowly with intention. As the year winds down, cities speed up with holiday chaos and last-minute shopping. Time has a different rhythm here; it is unhurried, slow, and leisurely. It provides a reminder that an unhurried pace allows us to be present and connect with what really matters. As this year comes to a close, I hope you can find your own Dwarson -- and be slow with the ones you love.
